Sky has helped me to become confident and fearless
“As long as you’re open to new challenges, there’s no limit to what you can achieve.”

Sanchita Sachdeva –
Senior Test Automation Engineer
As Europe’s leading entertainment company serving 22 million customers across six countries, Sky is an exciting place to work, with so many opportunities on offer. It’s why I joined as a Junior Software Tester almost four years ago. In that short space of time, I’ve been promoted twice and I’m now a senior member of the Test Automation team.
Applying through Sky’s career portal was hassle-free, and I was given plenty of support throughout the hiring process. I spoke with the Head of Test Execution and my Line Manager at my interview and they also introduced me to the team. In my first week, I had an onboarding session with other new joiners which allowed us to build our network from the start. We were all given a guided tour of the Sky building, including the Sky Sports News Studio. It was an amazing experience and I felt welcomed at every stage of my application, interview and onboarding as a new Sky employee.
Since then I have gone from strength to strength. As a naturally shy person, the biggest challenge I’ve faced is overcoming this to get to know my team on a more personal level. Sky prioritises building tight-knit teams, and we all get lots of chances not only to socialise with our own teams, but with managers and teams from other departments too. With Sky’s support, I’m more confident than I’ve ever been.
Sky is a fantastic place to work full of so many talented people. When I first joined, I was given plenty of opportunities to work on different projects where I could learn new technologies and skills. I’m continuously encouraged to step outside of my comfort zone to develop both personally and professionally, and our contributions and dedication are always rewarded. I wouldn’t be where I am now without the warmth and support from everyone I work with.
