After 10 years with Sky, my career is still never dull or predictable
“Sky is an innovative and inspiring place to work, where the focus is on what’s good for every employee.”

Monika Coupkova –
Director Sports Production
In 2011, I joined Sky as a Manager in Sports Production having previously worked in the same role for other broadcasters. With our move into international football, I was shortly promoted to become Senior Manager. I made the decision to relocate to Vienna in 2016 and I was again promoted to Head the Sports Production department here in Austria. Today, I’m the Director of Sports Production in charge of a team of 20.
Employees at Sky are given plenty of opportunities to grow and develop in their role. We’re an international company which welcomes different cultures and can offer new challenges and possibilities to explore as a result. Because of the size of Sky Vienna, we get to know our teams and other departments really well and collaboration is always encouraged locally and across our markets. I’m really proud to be part of the bigger picture at Sky.
I’m responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our operational business and that we’re doing everything we can to set ourselves up for the future. As a department head, my job is to make sure that I make the best decisions for our business, our customers, and of course, that we provide the best workplace possible for the team. No two days are the same and my last few years at Sky have been so eventful. That includes moving here to Vienna, and being voted Leader of the Year in 2017 – an achievement that meant a lot to me. I’m looking forward to seeing what surprising new experiences will come my way in the future. I’m sure they will be just as exciting as the ones I’ve already had.
