We're looking for you to join our Sky Sport News Team, limited to 2 years.
What you’ll do
You'll be responsible for the professional and disciplinary management of the presenters at Sky Sport News and will be responsible for their further development
As a manager, you'll be responsible for the selection, deployment and management of human resources
In addition, you'll act as a communicative interface between the newsroom and editorial management
As a supervisor at Sky Sport News, you'll work in shifts, which means that you'll also be responsible for the design and running of formats, specials and talks
Communication to all involved editorial and production departments is essential
You'll make a central contribution to the implementation of Sky's qualitative and journalistic standards, also through program monitoring – this also applies to the acceptance and quality control of contributions, graphics, moderations, reporter switches, and much more
You make suggestions for topics and guests and in the course of this you are also responsible for the development of the topic implementation
What you’ll bring
You've a university degree, preferably in journalism, communication or sports science or a comparable journalistic education
Thanks to your many years of professional experience as a chief of staff or head of a news or sports department on TV, you're able to lead staff and shift groups, but also have experience in the disciplinary management of employees
You've a keen sense for topic relevance (agenda setting) and professional competence in implementation
You've a good network in the sports industry and a keen sense for talent
Strong communication skills and good leadership management are a matter of course for you
You've an enthusiasm for sports in general and for competitions from the Sky rights portfolio in particular
Experience in storytelling, textual confidence and knowledge of film production as well as experience as a presenter (m/f/d) round off your profile
You've a high level of motivation, quick comprehension, flexibility, problem-solving skills and an orientation towards implementation
You're an independent team player and have a high degree of commitment to your work
As well as willing to work shifts – including weekends and holidays
