Senior Manager Investigation DACH (m/f/d)

We're looking for you to join our Corporate, Compliance & Data Protection Team
What you’ll do

  • You'll be responsible for planning & leading investigations from start to finish
  • This includes, but is not limited to, developing investigation plans, gathering evidence, legally evaluating findings, leading investigation meetings, and conducting debriefings with Legal, HR & Compliance, the Security Authority, and the Corporate Works Council
  • You take charge of effective and empathetic interaction and communication with people involved in the case & handle the expectations of stakeholders and affected employees
  • Where appropriate, you'll manage the involvement & consultation of partners, including colleagues from the People team, Group Security, Group Compliance, the Works Council and stakeholders of the business or external parties
  • You continuously contribute in providing stakeholder insights to assess issues & potential risks and make recommendations for balanced solutions
  • No day is the same – it'll be on you to coordinate a variety of investigations and preparing and maintaining appropriate files/documentation for each case (including timely maintenance and updating of appropriate personnel systems/trackers and case documentation storage) – all in accordance with privacy protocols
  • Making objective and informed findings and providing recommendations & advice for remedial action and internal improvements is part of your daily business
  • Furthermore, you'll be prepared to attend employment tribunals to present evidence gathered as an independent investigator when it is critical to the defense of a claim
  • Your responsibilities will also include report writing and follow-up for the Group ER for regular compliance reports as well as training and implementation of Group policies
What you’ll bring

  • You've a university degree or equivalent qualification, and ideally a license to practice law, experience in human resources or a degree in business administration with experience in auditing
  • You could already gain at least 5-6 years of professional compliance experience in international (law) firms and/or international companies
  • You'll bring in-depth knowledge and practical experience in the areas of labor and/or criminal law, investigations and questioning techniques
  • Strong risk perception and solution orientation as well as proactive, responsible, and independent work are among your strengths
  • The willingness to travel is a matter of course for you
  • You've strong communication skills and team spirit as well as a trustworthy, diplomatic demeanor & intercultural awareness
  • Proficient German & good English skills complete your profile
