What you’ll do
- You'll be responsible for designing, developing and building the content supply chain, on-demand processing platforms and infrastructures both on-prem and in the cloud (e.g. interface programming)
- In addition to implementing state-of-the-art hardware and software solutions (central core components, flexible decentralized operations) for content processing, you'll also take care of software and hardware troubleshooting (in collaboration with vendors)
- The configuration, operation and support of on-prem transcoding and QC systems are part of your daily business
- The support and optimization of the above-mentioned workflows is also part of these tasks
- You're responsible for the implementation of projects in your area
- You implement all technical topics based on internal/external standards (e.g. EBU-128)
- You'll patricipate in Sky-group-wide initiatives on projects to improve the designs and concepts of content processing supply chains
What you’ll bring
- You've a successfully completed university degree in Media Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar with a media technology focus and relevant professional experience
- You're familiar with streaming protocols such as HLS, DASH, MSS
- Good knowledge of audio and video codecs, subtitling and container formats such as MPEG-2, H264, HEVC, AC3, EAC-3, AAC, etc. and a good understanding of CDN, DRM and various content encryption techniques are among your strengths
- You've previous experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, workflow orchestration, etc. and with workflows and supply chain design
- You're familiar with programming languages e.g. Javascript, C#, Python, XML and a good understanding of APIs – Rest, Soap & more
- Basic knowledge of databases (SQL/non-SQL) is desired
- Experience in project management is an advantage
- Your strengths include analytical work, proactivity and your distinct ability to work in a team
- Good English skills round off your profile
