What you’ll do
- Your area of responsibility is to ensure compliance around VAT for all German and Austrian Sky companies
- In addition to the completion of VAT returns for the individual companies of the Sky Group and the conduct of appeals & support of tax audits, this also includes the review of monthly or quarterly filings in the area of VAT
- You act as a competent contact person (m/f/d) – also in cooperation with external consultants – in all matters of VAT for the Sky group entities and their departments, for individual project teams as well as for the tax authorities in German as well as in English
- Furthermore, your activities include monitoring changes and developments in German and Austrian tax law regarding indirect taxes as well as their implementation in the processes and ERP system as well as drawing up guidelines & work instructions
- With your good knowledge of Excel and accounting rules according to the German Commercial Code (HGB), you easily master controls and analyses of data relevant to VAT
- You like to work in a team and are therefore an important part of our experienced tax team
What you’ll bring
- You've successfully completed a degree in economics with a focus on tax law or a diploma in finance (m/f/d) and have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in VAT
- You've in-depth knowledge of VAT law and good accounting skills
- Through your previous experience you've acquired a routine handling of all MS Office applications and SAP HANA
- You¿re characterized by your high affinity for numbers and strong analytical skills
- You've strong teamwork skills, are flexible and keep a cool head even in stressful situations
- Your strong communication skills in German and English set you apart from others
