We're looking for you to join the Playout & Run Dowm Services Team for full or part time job
What you’ll do
- As a Playout Operator (m/f/d) you`re responsible for the live broadcasting of the Sky Sport portfolio and provide first level support in case of an emergency.
- When it comes to operating broadcast automation, routers, audio and video mixing consoles, measuring devices and intercom systems, no one can beat you
- You take over the operation of the broadcast automation and server systems independently and on your own responsibility and take care of the content and technical aspects of the transmissions
- You ensure and control the broadcast quality and the schedule in a live and non-live environment
- During the broadcasting of various live sports broadcasts, you¿ll be fully responsible for the production environment, including routing and measuring signals, audio mixing, communicating with the responsible trades, adding special advertisements and broadcast graphics
- In the event of technical failures, you keep a cool head in order to maintain or restore broadcasting operations in a short-term and targeted manner
- You detail and report any failures and malfunctions for a subsequent error analysis
- In addition to independently checking compliance with advertising guidelines, you take care of communication or required independent correction to avoid transgressions
- Your day-to-day work consists of checking graphical inserts entered by the editors and, if necessary, making corrections, as well as supervising projects on your own responsibility, taking into account editorial and technical standards.
- Even the trimming of contributions cannot dampen your motivation, as you already have experience with common content management systems
- You understand the requirements of program planning, broadcast planning and advertising planning and can translate these into a smooth broadcasting process
What you’ll bring
- You¿ve completed vocational training or a degree in the relevant field of activity
- You¿ll bring experience in working with IP technology and audio/video solutions
- You¿ve very good expertise in TV in-house production, especially in the environments of playout and broadcast management, thanks to your conception and design experience for live TV broadcasts and TV production facilities
- A high affinity to Sky as a product and the associated live handling of sports productions distinguishes you
- You¿re very reliable, have a structured way of working and a high degree of personal responsibility
- You¿re able to work under pressure and are a strong team player
- Clear and solution-oriented communication is one of your strengths
- You like to work in shifts incl. weekends and holidays
- Your very good German and good English skills round off your profile
